TrackBat allows bats to be studied and monitored remotely using two reliable and non-invasive methods: BatCam and BatSon.
BatCam detects the heat emitted by chiropterans (<250m) using infrared cameras. Its use makes it possible to study the movements and behaviour of bats, and to automate mortality monitoring near wind turbines.
BatSon allows you to record ultrasound. It can be installed on wind turbines, measuring masts or on the ground and in the nacelle operation phase, in compliance with the ministerial environmental monitoring protocol. This approach is ideal for defining the chiropractic issues related to a wind project. It is an essential tool for proposing appropriate avoidance, reduction or compensation measures.
ProBat is a wind turbine regulation system that combines the preservation of chiroptera and the productive. Predictive analysis of chiropteran activity is combined with real-time detection to trigger relevant stops.
ProBat offers an efficiency that can be modelled before installation, allowing you to determine the efficiency of the system on the preservation of chiroptera as well as the level of production losses.
The implementation of the system is simple, reliable and allows remote monitoring via an interface. Today’s equipped wind farms have production losses of less than 1% while preserving 90% of contacts.
TrackBird is an autonomous recording device for bird activity (video or photos).
TrackBird offers a robust and objective complement to an impact study to assess the impact of future installations. TrackBird is based on equipment developed specifically for these applications, which can be buried on the ground or installed on a measuring mast.
TrackBird allows you to define the avifaunistic issues related to a wind power project. It is an essential tool for proposing appropriate avoidance, reduction or compensation measures.
ProBird is a system that reduces the impact of wind turbines on birds. The cameras fixed on the wind turbines track the birds, and in the event of a risk of collision, trigger the appropriate response to the detected trajectory: acoustic warning or regulation.
ProBird is based on efficient and robust components, algorithms and architecture, designed specifically for the wind energy world, simplifying installation and maintenance of the device. It offers optimal efficiency both to preserve birds and to limit production losses. ProBird is also a tool for direct and automated activity and mortality monitoring, thus evaluating the impact of the equipped installation.
The use of Radar makes it possible to follow the trajectories of animals (birds, bats, butterflies,…) during the day and at night at great distances.
Its location allows the analysis and monitoring of animal flows at great distances (< 4km), regardless of visibility, including at night. Radar can be used for migration monitoring, for example, but also to issue audible warnings or stop wind turbines in case of risky trajectories. This system is particularly effective in ensuring that the blades stop before the animal enters the wind farm.
